La “poetica” di Raffaello

Scritto intorno al 1959 il presente testo costituisce la riflessione della storica dell’arte nata a Milano nel 1907 sul grande artista urbinate. Nell’intenso saggio, prima di affrontare il tema della formazione di Raffaello e di accostare la sua figura ad altri grandi maestri dell’arte per indagarne la poetica espressiva, l’autrice indugia sulle ragioni che portarono a considerare Raffaello come uno dei pittori più facilmente comprensibili del Rinascimento italiano, sebbene esso non si possa inserire tra i più “attuali”.

The “poetic” of Raphael

Written around 1959, this text constitutes the reflection of the art historian born in Milan in 1907 on the great Urbino artist. In the intense essay, before addressing the theme of Raphael’s training and approaching his figure to other great Master of Art to investigate its expressive poetics, the author dwells on the reasons that led to consider Raphael as one of the painters more easily understandable of the Italian Renaissance, although it cannot be included among the most “current”.
