La Mostra di Vuillard a Milano

Il breve saggio che qui si ripropone costituisce il commento di Maria Luisa Gengaro all’arte di Edouard Vuillard, da lei considerato un artista di grande personalità paragonabile ad un “piccolo profeta”, o, ancor meglio, ad un “profeta di un piccolo mondo, ma pur sempre profeta e quindi artista, artista vero non certamente «piccolo»”. Nel testo la storica dell’arte ricostruisce le tappe salienti della carriera dell’artista Nabis e la sua produzione, elogiando le scelte compiute dai curatori della mostra milanese poiché l’esposizione aiuta a comprendere una corretta cronologia delle sue opere e la sua reale levatura.
