L’Abbazia di Mirasole ed altre grange degli Umiliati in Lombardia (con rilievi per un restauro)

Il saggio, ancora oggi fondamentale per chi volesse approfondire lo studio delle architetture realizzate dagli Umiliati, propone un’iniziale mappatura delle strutture sorte in Lombardia, tra il XII e il XIII secolo, e indaga con metodo e rigore le diverse tipologie di edifici presenti nella grangia dell’abbazia di Mirasole, composta da un centro religioso (chiostro, chiesa, campanile), e da un nucleo produttivo (corte industriale, attività agricole e case dei terziari). Il contributo è inoltre corredato da disegni di rilievo e da un corposo apparato fotografico, testimonianza dello stato di conservazione del complesso negli anni cinquanta del secolo scorso, utili per un auspicabile restauro.

The essay is still essential for those wishing to study architectures created by Umiliati. It proposes an initial mapping of the structures which have emerged in Lombardia, between the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, and methodically investigates the different types of buildings in the grange of the abbey of Mirasole, consisting of a religious center (cloister, church, bell tower), and a production complex (industrial court, farming and houses of tertiary). The contribution is also accompanied by any drawings of relief and a substantial collection of photographs, that presents the state of preservation in the fifties of the last century, useful for a desirable restoration.
