I cicli pittorici delle ville dell’Alto Milanese e della Brianza. Lo stato degli studi e alcuni problemi di ricerca (2ª parte)

Il saggio è seconda parte di un’ampia disanima sulla situazione in cui versano indagini archivistiche e studi storici sui cicli pittorici presenti nelle ville seicentesche e settecentesche dell’Alto Milanese e della Brianza. La studiosa segnala, in un contesto di arretratezza e lacunosità generali, le poche lodevoli eccezioni di aggiornamento delle ricerche. Dopo aver proposto nello scorso articolo, apparso sul numero 2 di questa stessa rivista, interessanti riflessioni puntuali capaci di far cogliere componenti storiche peculiari del fenomeno artistico in esame, la studiosa evidenzia anche l’importanza del committente, o dei committenti, per comprendere pienamente la storia e l’arte delle ville di quest’area lombarda.

The frescos in the manors of Milan’s Northern area and of Brianza. The state of studies and some research problems (second part)

The paper is the second part of a large study about the researches on the frescos in the manors built in 17th and 18th Century in Milan’s Northern area and in Brianza. The author points out the retreated context of the studies and the praiseworthy exceptions of the researches’ updates. The scholar, that has already offered interesting observations about this artistic phenomenon in the first part of the article published in the same journal, outlines the importance of the clients to completely understand the history and the art of the manors in this Lombard area.
