I cicli pittorici delle ville dell’Alto Milanese e della Brianza. Lo stato degli studi e alcuni problemi di ricerca (1.a parte)

Il saggio e prima parte di un’ampia disanima sullo situazione in cui versano indagini archivistiche e studi storici sui cicli pittorici presenti nelle ville seicentesche e settecentesche dell’Alto Milanese e della Brianza. La studiosa segnala, in un contesto di arretratezza e lacunosità generali, le poche lodevoli eccezioni di aggiornamento delle ricerche. Richiama inoltre l’importante insieme degli studi datati ma tuttora imprescindibili. Interessanti riflessioni puntuali consentono di cogliere componenti storiche peculiari del fenomeno storico artistico in esame, evidenziando anche l’interesse per il tema che sarà oggetto della seconda parte del saggio: l’importanza del committente (o dei committenti) per la storia delle ville di quest’area lombarda.

The paintings in the house-mansions of the upper area of Milan and of the Brianza. The state of studies and some research problems (First part)

The article concerns the first part of an extensive analysis about the archives and historical studies’ situation of the paintings preserved in the house-mansions of the upper area of Milan and of the Brianza built in the XVII and the XVIII century. The researcher reports the few relevant studies present in a context of backwardness of this fieldwork. Moreover, she reports the old and the fundamental studies on the topic. Opportune considerations allow to evaluate the historical components of this artistic phenomenon as well as to highlight the interest for the theme that will be the subject of the second part of the article: the importance of the purchaser (or the purchasers) for the history of the house-mansions of this Lombard area.
